The Paruparo blouse is a modern Filipina statement top. This is a version of Kinabuhi’s bestselling Isabel blouse featuring removable sleeves so it can be worn two different ways.
“Paruparo,” meaning butterfly in Filipino, is a nod to the blouse’s soft, structured silhouette and transformative design. Each piece is a quiet tribute to craft and care, made in small batches to honor the artisans and the stories woven into every thread.
The blouse is a modern ‘baro’ or Filipiniana blouse created with deadstock fabrics and handwoven honeycomb fabric made with upcycled deadstock and scrap thread. The handwoven honeycomb weave adds a hint of playfulness to the piece with its unique texture and combination of colors. It is a simple yet versatile piece that can be easily worn and styled with a variety of other garments. Wear them with jeans for an everyday casual look or a formal bottom for special occasions.
