Where we work
ANTHILL’s work spans across various regions in the Philippines, collaborating closely with rural, indigenous and urban communities and craft artisans. ANTHILL works across various regions in the Philippines, partnering with rural, indigenous, and urban communities to sustain craft traditions and promote circularity. Through our Enterprise Partners, we collaborate with five weaving communities under our Community Enterprise Development Program (CEDP), providing training and impact monitoring. Our Craft Partners, such as Sesotunawa in Cotabato (brass smithing) and Handcrafters of Mary Enterprise (HOME) in Cebu (plush toy making), receive support in growing their businesses. We also work with Textile Partners, including local businesses, cooperatives, and nonprofits, by offering product design and market access support. Lastly, our Production Partners in Manila and Cebu, composed of small to medium-scale makers, help bring our designs to life, allowing us to scale production and meet demand.

We are in the business of value creation

An Ecosystem Business Model
ANTHILL works on a human and community-centered business model that ensures a sustainable and inclusive supply chain. We recognize the valuable roles of our stakeholders in keeping our local weaving industry alive. These stakeholders are the young weavers who honor weaving as cultural inheritance, young designers who risk experimenting with weaves despite its limitations, production partners whose industry and skills are also at risk, and our weave wearers who proudly wear our tribe with pride. We cannot work with a missing link. We are one colony bonded by our shared vision that is constantly working on strengthening our relationship and our capacity. This is the solid foundation that makes us sustainable.
Our business model honors the valuable role each of our weavers, artisans, design collaborators, and production partners play in elevating our weaving traditions. These stakeholders form the tapestry of ANTHILL.
