Circularity is more than just a trend—it’s a necessary shift in how we produce, consume, and dispose of materials in response to today’s growing environmental challenges. Unlike the traditional linear model of “take, make, dispose,” a circular system keeps resources in use for as long as possible, minimizing waste and maximizing value. In the face of climate change, resource depletion, and excessive waste, embracing circularity means reducing our carbon footprint, conserving natural resources, and rethinking our relationship with consumption. By extending the life of materials—through reuse, repair, and regeneration—we not only lessen our impact on the planet but also create sustainable solutions that empower communities and promote long-term resilience.
In 2016, ANTHILL expanded its impact commitments beyond cultural preservation and women's economic empowerment to embrace the power of circularity in contributing to environmental protection. Since then, we have collected textile waste from corporate partners, local manufacturing businesses, designers, and production partners. These textile wastes are transformed and handloomed by our partners Hablonan ni Lauriana in Argao, Cebu- our Textile Research and Innovation Centre, upcycling waste into new weaves.
As dedicated stewards of Mother Earth, we champion a circular economy where waste is minimized, resources are repurposed, and sustainability is woven into every thread of our work. We invite businesses to join us in this mission through three impactful pathways, becoming valued partners in circularity:
1. Become a Donor: Give Your Textiles a Second Life
